My First Jet Landing

Good Job! That's a good jet to learn on. You just don't get to have fun making all that noise with out the thrust reversers though!

I remember my first in a Hawker 800, coming over the threshold thinking, 'I hope we have enough room to stop.' Stopped with 3000' remaining lol.

My first landing in a jet was in a CRJ-700. In the CRJ sim, the brakes weren't very effective so after every landing you would just stand on them.

Nobody told me the airplane was different. First landing was pretty good...then I put everyone's faces into the seats.

Wow that was awesome! Great job with the communication too...can't wait til I'm that proficient on the comms.

Thanks you guys! I wish I had my GoPro that day

I think flying anything for the first time is always fun. I remember my first ever flight in a Cessna 172 and thought that was bomb. Then I got into a Cirrus, and thought that was badass. Until this..

I'm currently working on my instrument rating and shot the same approach in a Skyhawk 8 hours later. Needless to say, I felt as if the Skyhawk wasn't even moving.

Now I wish the 172 had a Flight Director too :(

O, and we didn't park at Million Air because the plane is based at Atlantic.

NIce job! Looked like a lot of fun! Power idle on short final? Wow we'd drop out of the sky, but I guess the straight wing helps. Looks like you let the nose drop a little ;)

CRJ-200 is like that too. As long as you're not light, power back to idle at 100AGL.

Very cool. How long ago was this? I ask because I notice a Champion 727 sitting on the ramp off to your left. Seeing as they shut down in 2007, I'm wondering if one is stored in BUR?

This was sometime in December. That Champion 727 was flown in there a couple of years ago and has been sitting there since. Rumor has it that they lost all the logs and whoever put the plane there hasn't paid dues. So I think for now the airport authority owns it. Its in really really bad shape. :(

I also see it on Google maps taking a second look. Thanks for the info, I'll try to get a picture of it when I fly in.
