That couldn't be further from the truth. "He" was uncomfortable being put in a N/A (285hp) twin cessna that was NON- FIKI and being expected to operate it an any conditions no matter what. Among many, many other factors. It was quite simple, the airplane has been abused its entire life and when the PIC squwaks something it should be fixed. Your "company" for lack of a better term, is about as sleezy as they get. "He" quit because Todd and Leland tried taking all of "his" PIC authority away. When "he" drew the line in the sand and the bosses didn't like it they turned to you because they knew they could push you around. It had nothing to do with NDBs or steam. "He" has more steam time than glass time.
You guys would be shut down in one week if your company operated like that in AK (Where "he" works now). Lets talk about something that is true. YOU were working there long before HE was, yet HE got the job. After "he" quit, you took the job for less money than "he" made. (AND you do more non flying duties). I think its funny that you think you are busy. You guys fly a few hours a week.
The bottom line is you work for one of the lowest of the low bottom feeding companys. Your "company" hasn't turned a profit for even one quarter in the last what, 4 years? You are about the fifth hired pilot (one of only two that actually flew 135 for them). The only reason you don't know any better is because you've never experienced anything besides them. The only reason you stay is because of your submissive personality. You let the bosses push you around and you think thats normal? I realize your rationalization, you live there, your folks are there blah blah. Same with me, but some lines I don't cross.
I hope and pray that you'll see the light soon because one of two things is going to happen over there. Go fly for a real outfit for a while and tell me what you think. In the mean-time quit acting like a mister big-time on the internet. You fly a Cirrus, a 172 and a 310. You're a decent pilot but you need to get over yourself.
