My first big break!

I wanted to wait to make sure this was going to happen before I celebrated over it.

I'm pleased to announce that my very own seatbuddy has been picked up by Brookstone. It will be featured in the Christmas catalog and guaranteed to run thru March of 2010. I'm also in talks for it to be carried in every brookstone airport location. I"m very excited about the potential now that a big name company has picked it up. Usually, when one picks it up, the rest follow.

That motivates me to get started on my idea invention, or rather improvement of a current design.
 
HUGE CONGRATS! NOW.... a word of financial advice!!!....


IF you hit it big.... DO NOT.. I REPEAT.. DO NOT change your lifestyle. Keep doing what your doing, and take 60% of what your making and each month add it to a CD or some sort of interest bearing account that you CAN NOT TOUCH for 2-3years. It may seems drastic at first. but when I tell you that 98% of people that quickly come into money.. within a year or two after hitting it big, they are broke.. FLAT BROKE... family and friends you NEVER knew before, will suddenly come out of the wood work and WHAMMY, if you have a kind heart- you'll be broke... OR you will spend it on a lambo or new porsche...

SAVE IT... INVEST IT( do HW on this one first).. BUT DON"T SPEND IT!!!!

Did you have to send them something, or did they pick it up? Keep up the great work and Good Luck with the airport location.

Dang, if only you had said this this morning, I went out and bought my $60M yacht!

JK, no, I do have quite a few ideas of where I want to invest. I've been looking into opening a www.wahoos.com in either DEN or SFO. Total build out cost is $750,000 and conservative reserve is $250,000. Typical monthly returns once its going is about $35-40K/mo net.

Thanks, it took about 10 months of perfecting how to pitch them properly. I had to go after them.
 
Congratulations! It is a very difficult thing to come up with something new and then convince others it is a good idea, but you did it! Best of luck in your future investments.

Wow, you're actually the first person to describe the last year in about one sentence for me. LOL. Sounds like you've had some experience.
