Don't know if you noticed but on crewweb we got an email from Ilah asking us to all listen us on the conference call on Thursday. Should be interesting.

Also, how many people do we have on here?

The only ones that I can recall are,

yourself
Heath....(whatever happened to him? gets a gig and doesn't come back...geez!)

Acadia....I think he just left though.....

others...........

What time of day is the call at? They'll most likely announce the following:

1) Saab 2000s by the end of the year
2) Greensboro, Roanoke, Lynchburg, and Fort Lauderdale bases opening
3) All Saabs to have two DMEs for po' mans moving map
4) GNS430s to be installed since VOR to VOR is so 20th century
5) Per Diem to be paid for day trips and stand-ups
6) 2:1 Duty Rigs
7) CASS implemented
8) My immediate upgrade upon reaching 1500

Of course this does sort of sound like a wishlist but I'm sure its just coincidence. Cheers!

HEY! I RESEMBLE that remark! Sorry for the disappearance. I've been spending a lot of time on reserve without a reliable internet connection. I'm on a line now, and the connection is fixed so maybe you'll see me more!

What's up SEGGY!? Haven't seen you since the interview, man!

Anyone listen to the call? I kind of remembered it after it was over.

Someone fill me in.

HE LIVES!

I'm still around based in ALB flying a lot seeing the Noreast. What about you were have you been based? Commuting? Nothing new on the conference call, just watch out for the TSA, they leveled a 12,000 CIVILIAN fine on a rampie in CRW.

There wasn't a whole lot discussed. They made some pretty big issues about some ground security incidents that Seggy mentioned. Also said the upgrades were slowing down due to the massive hiring classes last summer. Not much else.

I heard Colgan is hiring street captains. How far are you from 1500?

I missed the call as I was flying..........but the aforementioned list sounds possible:sarcasm: Shoot, I'd be happy to hear any ONE of those items covered in the C-call.

As for the slowing of the upgrade time. It just goes to show that upgrade time cannot be predicted. Upgrade might be x months now but in short order it's gonna be x + 2x before you know it.

Jumpseat Access Allowed

I haven't jumpseated on United for a couple weeks and I just noticed that we are now officially in the computer system to be allowed up in the cockpit even without CASS. I used our, now working, 9L code and a nice **Flight Deck Access** statement was printed on the jumpseat ticket. So if you are in the US/UA system your commute just got a little easier. Maybe....:)

Re: Jumpseat Access Allowed

they don't charge us per mile to commute and payroll deduct it (not that it happened to me but our UA ground staff has been warning me)?

Re: Jumpseat Access Allowed

you are only charged a fee when non-revving on mainline united flights, no charge on express flights. also, if you "jumpseat" on mainline then get a seat in the back you are not charged. so basically, don't list yourself as a nonrev on mainline united and you wont get charged. oh and that "expressnet" site that we have access to now only works on UAL computers in the airport. no access from home, making in pretty much a useless since if you're already in the airport you can just get an agent to hook you up instead of fumbling around on a site trying to find the right link to click on to check flights and list.

Re: Jumpseat Access Allowed

I always list myself on united on the automated non-rev line (800-UAL-LIST) and then tell the agent I listed for the jumpseat.

Hey Seggy,

I'm based in IAH. Commuting from ATL. Our house is up for sale, though and we're considering moving to Houston. Although moving to KY and commuting to Charlie West isn't out of the question either. How's upgrade looking for the Beech?
