My Bose X headset needs a replacement part or...

CFIT99

I'm probably commenting ironically...
After 6 years at 3000 hrs my Bose broke...right at the base of the boom mike so it doesn't stand solid but just hangs there and can't be positioned to speak.

I talked to Bose and they don't produce anymore replacement parts for the X headset. So far I've only found one site that sells the power cord with the boom mike for ~$250 but nowhere else. Anyone know where to get one and for cheaper? (I really like my X and see no reason to part with it but for that price I'll explore options)

or...

should I just trade up and for the Bose QC15 with the UFM (or something else)

thanks for the input

I can't believe Bose isn't supporting the X anymore. I have one I bought used and replaced the down cord on it, I planned to hold onto it for a long time. Guess I should sell it, if something breaks it just became a paperweight.

I thought the same thing, even there website doesn't have any "in stock" under replacement parts

For what it's worth, UFM is in the process of developing a new mic for tv QX25. At first they stopped making their old mic, but have decided to put it back into production for small batches. They are currently sold out.

Wow. Just wow. I am sure the DC head clamp company has parts for clamps they made 50 years ago. I would say a post like this speak VOLUMES in brand loyalty.
I hear the new DC's are pretty good.
That said, LOVE my qc 15's/ ufly

Yep I sent a pair of DC's I'd gotten about 12 years prior into to get refurbed and they had everything in stock. Looks like I'm hitting up ebay for the X's and if I want a NR headset it'll be a DC. Anyone know how Lightspeed is in supporting their older headsets?
