Music playlist for nasty turbulence

With the approaching spring thunderstorm season I'm creating a playlist for my Ipod to keep me company while getting beat senseless by mother nature.

1 "Don't fear the reaper" - Blue Oyster Cult
2 "I wanna be sedated" - The Ramones
3 "Ghost riders in the sky" The Outlaws.
4 "Thunderstruck" - AC/DC
5 "You ain't seen nothing yet" - BTO
6 "Jump jive and wail" - Brian Setzer Orchestra
7 "Crazy Eddies Last hurrah" - Cross Canadian Ragweed
8 "Bad to the Bone" - George Torogood
9 "Fuel" - Metalica
10 "Spirit in the sky" - Norman Greenbomb
11 "Boom!" - POD
12 "Over the rainbow" - IZ
13 "Ragged as the road" - Reckless Kelly
14 "Texas flood" Stevie Ray Vaugn

Any more suggestions?

I always liked Hell's Bells when I was going into a line of TS's. The Hellion/Electric Eye is pretty awsome as well.

Whippin Post by the Allman Brothers would be appropriate here.

Jumping Jack Flash - Rolling Stones (I was born in a crossfire hurricane, and I howled at my Ma in the driving rain...)

Brown Sugar - Stones - (because any misogynistic song about slavery, interacial sex, oral sex goes with any occasion - Tstorm or no)

Ridin the Storm Out - REO Speedwagon

Riders on the Storm - The Doors

Purple Haze - Hendrix (for the lighting flashes against the super-cells)

Thunder Rolls - Garth Brooks

I don't suppose "Shake, Rattle And Roll" would be too cliche'd?

Other suggestions:

"Boomshakala" by Apache Indian
"Dead Man's Party" by Oingo Boingo - to feed the morbid streak

But honestly, you could sit there with "Thunderstruck" and "Shoot To Thrill" on extended repeat and you'd have a good musical grasp on the moment....

Anything from Reckless Kelly will do!!!!

What about, "I Love A Rainy Night" by Eddie Rabbitt.

Well, I love a rainy night
I love a rainy night
I love to hear the thunder
Watch the lightning
When it lights up the sky
You know it makes me feel good...

or

"I Can See Clearly Now" by Johnny Nash

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.

I think I can make it now, the pain is gone
All of the bad feelings have disappeared
Here is the rainbow I’ve been prayin' for
It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.

Look all around, there’s nothin' but blue skies
Look straight ahead, nothin' but blue skies

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.

Beethoven's Sixth (or maybe the Fifth, I can't remember ). It's supposed to be a musical depiction of a summer's day interrupted by a thunderstorm.

Music? I read the GOM, plan diversions/emergency fields, and write notes critiquing the radio phraseology of the other dudes on frequency.

Just kidding. I don't listen to music, but I like storms because it's the only time I'm awake during cruise.

I would probably go with some Dave Matthews or some OAR in the situation. It may be due to the face that its your average college music. Who knows. Cheers.

"Bawitdaba" by Kid Rock.

"No More I Love You" by Annie Lennox.

"Here Comes the Rain Again" by Annie Lennox.

"Mamma Said Knock You Out" by LL Cool J (When it feels like you are literally in a boxing match with Mother Nature) .

"Ice Ice Baby" by Vanilla Ice (for when your airplane is being battered to hell by hail).

"Rockin' Me Baby" by the Steve Miller Band.

I see two types of responses here:

1) Thematic titles. I'd go with Live - "Lightning Crashes."

2) Pilot Motivators. Some Living Sacrifice or As I Lay Dying would do great.
