I think you're 6 or 1/2 dozen regards quality of time. Look at my situation......a ton of single time, and still moved up the ladder without too much problem.

Yeah but you drive a beast of a huge truck, you own a DE .50 cal, and you look like you can beat people up. Even if you can't beat people up, you still got the DE.

What do I got? That's right, a cute girlfriend and a funny lookin' haircut.

I agree with Ophir. Your total time will take care of itself, but there are tons of 1000-hour MEIs bummin' for multi time.

CapnJim, how'd you end up at Skymates? Didn't you do your training at ATP?

You know what else I've got? THE SOX UP 3-0 AT THE END OF THE 8TH! WOOOOO!!!!

We'll make it happen sometime Mike, take Emily along with us too.

Let me just add by saying even schools with multi engine airplanes don't necessarily have multi students.

So you may spend a few grand on the mei, then have to spend more $$$ just to stay current.

Total time ... and a splash of multi.

In the end all that matters is that you can meet your potential employer's insurance requirements.

Hey John I'm kinda in the same boat right now. Where Im from being an MEI wont build you much time because there might be one multi student a year and he'll be flying with the old timer atp rated retired senior citizen. So i'd lean towards the pay 3grand more for 70 more hours of multi. Thats what I'm planning on maybe doing this winter school break. Maybe I'll see ya down there.
