multi rating and multi time building

I am from china and will get my canadian commerical licence very soon.

So it is the right time to think about my multi time. The chinese authority never accept the safety pilot time and the chinese airline prefer the solo multi time... Due to those mix reasons , I gotta find a place to build my PIC multi time and if possible I hope that is solo time.

Not sure where I am supposed to put this thread. just curious where I can find a place with reasonable price and plenty of tweens.

When I log time its as PIC, once I got my certificate I stopped logging solo time.

How is anyone in China going to know you're "solo" while logging PIC time?

I doubt very highly you will find an outfit willing to rent a twin to a foreign national with little to no multi time. Insurance just won't allow it.

yep.... here in canada. those schools which get the authorization from CAAC always let the chinese students do 'solo' flight in a twin with an instructor ... of course, the instructor will not log his time.

I have an orange bridge for sale in California, cheap.

The way the FAR's get around this issue for the 10 hours of "solo" time required for the Commerical single is to fly with an instructor under "supervised solo conditions".

This is a dual flight but the logbook state that it is such...."supervised solo". It is meant to be known that the instructor is there for safety/insurance but the PIC (the one logging the time) performed ALL the duties of the flight.

Maybe this will work for you.

I can't speak in specifics about north of the border; will you be getting a US license? I know there are places in the US that would let you rent a twin solo, provided you meet certain experience requirements and complete a checkout with an instructor (usually around 250-500TT, IR, 50-100 MEL and possibly 5-25 in type). They'd probably even work out a deal on price for you if you were building that much time.

Your best bet is to look up schools and speak directly with them, letting them know your specific needs and seeing what they say.
