TransPac Advanced Training – Phoenix, AZ

The TransPac Advanced Training department is seeking instructors for airline and multi-crew operations training courses.

We currently support several different training programs to include:

CAAC "High Performance" Training
- Ground, simulator (Level C King Air FFS), and flight (C/E-90 King Air) training

Multi-Crew Operations Training
- Provided on an as needed basis primarily to foreign airline customers
- Ground and simulator (A320 fixed-base AATD) training

King Air Academy
- Initial and recurrent training provided to owner/operators and Part 135 pilots
- Heavily customer service oriented...requires pilot/instructors with this mindset
- Previous King Air experience a plus
- Utilizes King Air AATDs and provides in-aircraft training upon request

What we are looking for in an instructor:

*Positive and professional attitude
*Commitment to maintaining a safe and enjoyable training atmosphere for clients
*Motivated and capable of qualifying in all training disciplines: ground, simulator, and flight
*Demonstrates a willingness and ability to be/become a subject matter expert for assigned training program
*Demonstrates quality airmanship and situational awareness skills in the cockpit...should be able to operate effectively in both single-pilot and multi- crew situations.

We are a small department tasked with a fairly full operational load at times. Our staff is currently spread across three different training facilities in Phoenix, AZ meaning that instructors must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, and the ability to effectively operate with limited on-site supervision. We rotate shifts and activities so that everyone maintains currency in all areas of training. The department is managed by current and former multi-crew operators, so we've tried to maintain an environment more oriented to a small airline/corporate training center rather than a flight school.

Notes:

Instructors rotate through ground, sim, and flight training activities. We do fly several thousand hours per year with that that time being split among 8-10 instructors. Several people from our team have transitioned to various airlines (Alaska, US Airways, JetBlue, Republic, American Eagle), corporate/government operations (Air Ambulance, FAA), and military contractors (Dynamic Aviation).

Instructors desiring to work in the rapidly expanding King Air Academy program must demonstrate the ability to provide both high-quality instruction AND excellent customer service skills. The training is customized to each owner/operator based on their aircraft type, configuration, avionics, and the demands of their operating environment so adaptability will be required. Instructors in this program should not expect to simply work though a standardized presentation, but be able to address the needs of each individual client while working within the planned curriculum.
