yes, when I was at the Bombardier training center in Montreal for the past month, they are hush about it because it put everyone in a bad mood.

I believe they just posted a 4.5 billion dollar loss, have 9 Billion in Debt and are only valued at around 6 Billion...so yes they are having troubles all because of the C Series

I've also read that trying to develop two entirely new aircraft, C-Series and Lear 85, was more than they could afford so they suspended the 85 program thinking there is a better market for the RJ. They just recieved a bailout from the Canadian government, it'll be interesting to see how it all works out and if the new Lear will ever go into production.

yeah, and all the instructors said they want to do a bunch of test flights for the Challenger 300 series but can't because the test pilots are busy with the c series

Funny you should mention that, the name MRJ always makes me think of Iowa County Airport as well. KMRJ is about 30 miles from my hometown (EFT).

Not to derail, but KEFT is our last fuel stop enroute to 8D1 for the Supercub fly-in during OSH every year. Great little airport. Love the new terminal building.

Just out of interest my wife is a Boeing engineer and she said this week Mitsubishi has been driving a billboard truck back and forth past the 2 Boeing Flight Test and Delivery Centers that says they're hiring flight test engineers in Seattle.

They've been around Moses Lake here talking about all their flight testing and hiring they need to do. Not sure about what skill sets they need but all the manufacturing and engineering companies do some heavy recruiting to bring those people here.
