Moving to a new home

Ajax

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
When my wife and I got married we rented, I was a first year regional FO so we went with a nice starter home we bought about 2 years later. 12 years later we're finally moving to, ideally, our forever home. Almost twice the size, a definite "Captain's House" too. I found the new house, she toured it, and bought it; a few days later she listed our house, and sold it, all while I was on my trip. Now she will close and move into the new house all while I am on my next trip. Kind of weird, I'll pack up for my trip in the old house, and unpack in the new one.

I'd forgotten the stress involved with moving, I can't imagine what she dealt with while I was out of town doing all of this on her own, while managing the kid and dogs.

I just moved last month to my new homestead so I feel the pain. Moving sucks but congrats on the new place. The pain is worth it. You got a killer woman knocking all that out for you while you’re at work.
