Movie "Ground Control" - Clawing. My. Eyes. Out.

Trying to avoid election coverage tonight I came across this movie. One gem:

Kiefer Sutherland coaching a rookie wearing a stylish, tight weather with pearl buttons: "You're looking at two dimensions, but your actually dealing with three dimensions."

Oh thank GOD we've got people like HIM training novice controllers and keeping the skies safe, because they don't teach ANYTHING about a three-dimensional environment at Mike Monroney in Oklahoma City.

Another loser hitting on the rookie: "Night takeoffs. Horizontal separation." "Have you checked out the chapter on deicing?" Passing traffic to Centers that aren't anywhere near contiguous.

And the bad guy goes up onto the control tower to - hit golf balls from a catwalk? When does Leslie Nielsen come in?

Back to MSNBC & Fox News. THIS is too much.

I always figured real world ATC was more like the tower cab scene from "Airplane" and less like, well, any other movie depiction of ATC.
 
Oh I remember this from the 90's. lol.
So many Turbulence scene rips.

If you want to cringe more, on Netflix there's always Turbulence 3, Airplane vs. Volcano.....
 
If I were in ATC I'd probably get written up daily.

"Airplane 123 climb and maintain ten thousand GODDAMNIT CHARLIE DID YOU CRAP YOUR PANTS FARTING AGAIN YOU STUPID F...."
