Accreditation revoked due to "leadership, organization, and integrity" issues. Ahem.

All because of issues in their nursing program and a lack of oversight from those erm.. those overseeing the program... It's really a mess, and the HLC's findings were extremely vague. I'm kind of surprised MSU didn't fight this harder..

One thing about higher education. Folks who work there tend to be very diplomatic when it comes to publicly stating an institutional problem. The HLC saying that there's an integrity problem really means that not only did the President get a blowie in the Oval, but he also lied about it. Or something far more consequential.

There are a few threads with further discussion about this a ways back from this summer. I'm one of the flight students affected by this...but it is what it is.

There were many ways to fix that "integrity" issue... Fire the president, reform the nursing program because that's where the issue was. I kind of find it funny that the accreditation wasn't pulled by the NLANC. There's a ton of students and teachers who are getting screwed over by the HLC. Those guys are sitting high and mighty in their offices sipping an Eagle Rare laughing about all the people they have screwed. Many teachers who actually were very good just lost their jobs too because of this. I'm a little annoyed with the HLC. Frankly I think it's BS.

The president was fired too...I agree the focus should have been on the nursing program as well, oh well.
