I get it now.
As far as I know, a few days before his crash he departed helena for billings, and had requested a block altitude of way up there (nobody knows why).. He was using a cannula and became hypoxic.
As far as his crash, he crashed very close to a highway kindof in the middle of a valley. Not very mountainous at the site.
Regardless of whatever happened, it's a sads loss.![]()
AFAIK, under Part 91 it's up to you to take care of yourself, as long you abide by 12,500, 14,000, and 15,000 foot rules.I thought cannulas were only legal to 18,000 ft or so...?
