Mountain Air Cargo

I applied sometime last month. I received an email about a week later saying they will be wanting to bring me in for an interview, and to reply to the email if I wasn't interested. There were no interview dates given and I haven't heard anything since. I did put a start date of mid-August on the application as I am in grad school right now. I don't know if that has anything to do with not getting in interview date yet.?

Next class is 09/08/08 on ATR for what it's worth. Also was told in interview mins for upgrade are 3,000TT/1500 PIC. Explained to me that a waiver may be obtained to lower pic to 1200. However insurance company limits how many pilots they will allow for that per year. Was also told they prefer to not interview with less than 1000 PIC but they will make exceptions, especially given your prior experience. If you have solid 121/135 time that would be considered, but they will tell you that you are going to have to work on getting PIC time. Will work with approval of 10-15 hours a month (or as needed) to allow CFI, banner tow, etc on time off. If not being paid and part 91 - fly as much as you want on time off - or so I was told. In either case they want you to record and report all extra hours. This is for tracking to ensure legality. Interview process very straight forward and staff are really friendly.

Are there any floater positions/full time in CHA? I live in the ATL NW suburbs an hour and a half away.... do you think they would require me to relocate? I'm really interested in MAC, but nothing in the ATL area.

Anyone know if they'll have more classes before the end of the year?

I just threw in an application a while ago, haven't heard anything.

RR55,

Mountain air Cargo does not have a base or flight ( unless unschedule ) to STL or DTW. Twice a year ( july 4th & Thanksgiving ) we are going to Windsor Canada ( city across DTW ) from Memphis. That will be the closest think we get from DTW.
