Most funnest approaches!

We can take it. It's a 4999 foot runway so it's technically a captain's only landing. We can only take a visual on it as there are no cat D mins on the ILS. It's an offset arrival and the nastiest part is missing the big crane in the old Naval Yard.

(these of course were taken from the jumpseat and not while I was trying to land. THAT would just be silly.)

I wanna get a shot of simulataneous visuals on 27R and 35 from the J/S.

"Got the traffic coming over the Navy yard for 27R in sight"
"Traffic's in sight."
"S-Turns approved, slow to minimum approach speed, cleared to land 35."

I'm sure one of the AWAC guys here can hook us up. Or, my next trip is in and out of PHL. I'll try and snag one... when I am jumpseating of course.

KBOS approaches have alternate mins for tall ships..thats hard core

It's funny because I have shot an ILS to the mins WITH ships in the harbor. You break out and in front of you there is a tall container ship. Freaky stuff!
