Most exotic/interesting airports in the U.S.A

I love Flabob in Riverside because it's small and all these old timers hang out at the restaurant.

I love Santa Monica because I can fly right over downtown LA and then land right next to the beach.

I loved landing on some guy's private little strip in-between his vinyards in Napa (with permission). It was like a movie.

I love landing at my home airport, El Monte. Especially when the controller says "Welcome home Niner Four Juliet"

And where was this? I'd like to land there at some point.........

Twin Oaks Airport (T94) - "The Urban Bush"

bush with a paved runway? :)

north of austin you can go to kitty hill and have your choice of 3 grass runways surrounded by trees. There is also a decent slope to the land there, make it fun.

personally, im partial to airports with mountains around them. LXV, HDN, MTJ in colorado are all fun to fly into. Others like MMBT in mexico are fun as well. Come over the last mountains and the airport at 12k and my a long teardrop down to airport which is at sea level, parallel to the beach. MMZH is similar but the mountains there arent quite as tall.

It's just north-east of Anquin-Parrot, which is just west of Lake Berryesa...I don't remember what the name of the airport was. My flying partner's brother owns the vinyard "next door" so he calls over and gets permission. The dude took us into his hangar. What a trip. He was working on a composite jet that he's building from scratch Yes, a jet. Says he's built others. Don't know if he's crazy, or a legend. Can't remember his name. If you ever get to the point where you really want to go, I'll ask my buddy to get the number.
