More plane crashes.

Simply Allah's will!

unfortunately we get these stretches every now and then. last year I think we had like 3 or 4 crashes which killed quite a few people within a 2 month span plus other non fatal crashes. Its kind of like a blood ravenous serial killer, always hiding in the fog waiting for his next victim like jack the ripper. its an unfortunate side effect of the unforgiving nature of aviation.

thoughts go out to all who have lost someone in avation...

You make it sound as if the "killer" is out there waiting to get me. In reality it is ME and YOU that cause accidents. This is terrably sad and I mourn the loss of the pilot but we must take account of our actions and make appropriate decisions so as not to become yet another statistic. I believe in Safety Stand Downs for this reason. We need to stop and think and learn almost like recharging our safety conciousness batteries. Lets all be safe out there it is very unforgiving as you said.

I think what I should have said is that the killer is out there waiting for mistakes or bad decisions, onces the chain is complete then it leads to an accident. Very few accidents are caused by one mistake, usually a chain of events that lead up to it. Sometimes even the events leading up to the accident start before you even get into the aircraft to go on the flight. Once enough errors or mistakes or whatever your ripe for a crash.

I definitely agree. If events leading up to a flight make me feel uncomfortable, I usually scrub it and fly another day if I can. I guess I am a little superstitious at times, but I think that it's important that all pilots realize that the safety of a flight can be jeapordized way before the flight even begins. It always bugs me when I meet a pilot with the macho "I've got my pilot's license, so I know everything about flying" attitude. Those types are a danger to us all. Regardless of whether that type of attitude had anything to do with this accident or not, it is still a tragic event that seems to be happening all too often. Fly safely and don't forget to look up every once in awhile (especially when low to the freakin ground)
