I'm based at IAD-Dulles.

I'm not really familiar with where you are already, but I'd recommend instructing as a great way to build time. If you can get access to a twin, ME time is golden. Experience in a simulator is also important because you will most likely take a sim ride on your interview.

Above all, just set your sights on the goal and stick with it. Anything worth doing is not going to be easy.
