More aircraft for PSA and Envoy

A positive thing would be if the company didn’t find it necessary to run right up to the scope limit and to replace this flying with E190+ Size aircraft. Status quo, or adding 1 small RJ for 1 larger ac, is not a positive.

Of course it would be better but that is up to you and the APA when negotiations open. I'm just saying we are trending in a positive direction. Mainline is growing rather than having flying replaced by RJs.

Mainline is not growing.

Mainline is not growing.
Pretty sure they have to in order to increase the large RJ fleet size. If they aren't growing then the added -900s are due to other large RJs leaving the system.

Either way, I don't want the regionals to exist. The only reason I am here is because legacy HR departments essentially require me to be here to have a chance at being hired. In the case of AA it is almost the only way.

I do believe the -900 to be a good thing as far as PAX safety though. I wouldn't be surprised if someone dies in a -200 this summer due to the heat.

Isn't Envoy having issues getting people in the left seat? Now they're expanding the fleet? This summer will be fun for all of us...

I have heard from what I would consider to be a reliable source that AA is quietly looking at a new Group 1 aircraft order. I believe it would have been the 195E2 except that it’s performance numbers have been a bit “disappointing”. So that basically leaves the C-Series and I’m not sure there are any delivery slots to be had any time soon. The other issue AA has is training capacity. I’m not sure they have the capacity to spoil up hiring to staff a large order for a new fleet type.

Yes. And Piedmont will likely as well if their new TA isn’t something to write home about. PSA is senior-manning but I’m not sure how much longer the company can ride that gravy train if we are going to continue growing.

And yes, this summer is going to be turrible.

They can spool up hiring at mainline as easily as regionals. That E175 order could’ve been E190.

If I had interviewed based only on the time I was flying the 700/900 I honestly don’t think I’d have gotten hired.

“I dunno. I just flew airplanes around for a bunch of years. Got along with almost eveyone. Had a good time.”

I already have more than a handful of tell me about a time stories. Any of the crap I’ve expereinced at PSA doesn’t touch my experiences prior. Nothing beats bouncing around in the weather, in the mountains, no AI, engine failures (single engine), etc etc. Knock on wood.

Gonna run an Airbi to CAE, FAY, GSP, AVL, etc?
