Neg. It's off one I flew... I wouldn't be surprised if the OP plane had a similar failure, and if so.. this is what it looks like. I got in a hurry posting earlier
Shorty history behind this one.. PT6A-114A on a C208B.. First generation CT Blade s/n, pre AD but post SBs.. operator/owner did not want to replace CT blades at previous HSI.. P&W had done the conversion and overhaul from a -114 to a -114A and performed one HSI prior to the failure. Another shop also did a HSI prior to failure. Said shop is now known to me to cut corners. Needless to say, this cost this particular operator $700k for a new -42A Blackhawk, versus what would have been about $30k for 5th generation CT blades..
Pay now pay later I guess.
