Mokuele Airlines details and pay?

That captain I flew with this evening had about a 2 inch beard going.

As well he should. Seriously, that is super awesome. I actually had no idea that there were any US airlines that allowed beards, Hawaiian just went up in my estimation...again. Every time I fly on those guys they grease it on, the service is always exemplary, and now I find out that captains can look like a Captain instead of trying to make them look like prepubescent boys under the false pretense of "uhhh...something, something, oxygen masks?" Way to go Hawaiian!

Does this qualify me as a fanboy now?

These are exactly my thoughts as well.

It's not that I don't want to instruct...it's just I'd rather try flying paxs around first. I have a strong desire for the airlines so I would like to try and get their fast. Instructing turns me off because of the way my instructors talk about how much they hate teaching and want to leave. Could be because it's college students though.... I am trying to get all the resources and information I can and talk to as many companies as I can so hopefully something will pop up in July when I'm a free man with a degree.....and.....out of Montana :aghast:
I completely understand, I have my days but overall I enjoy instructing not to mention I'm making good money that I'll miss if I go to the regionals. I'm glad that you realize that it may not be for you, because I work with some guys that don't have the patience to teach a rock how to hit the ground, and it's all about patience, and yea those guys that don't hate it that bad should keep it to themselves in my opinion. It throws off the perception for the student, especially one that's working to get his cfi.

Rule number one is make every move with a goal in mind- keep your eyes on that goal. If it moves, move with it. Don't get stuck somewhere you don't want to be and risk the bitterness of defeat, ESPECIALLY with big bills.

How many of us have had jobs that didn't pay well, but were awesome. Made it work and had a blast, right? I worked 3 part-time jobs all at once, for a time, to reach my goals. It-was-awesome, because I was going somewhere. I remember finishing cleaning the first jet of the night, grabbing some Chinese, and sitting at the open hangar door while airport watching. I was paycheck to paycheck back then, but I was on my way to getting a good flying job someday. I would finish cleaning planes and go back to my clapped out apartment for a few hours of sleep. I swear my roommate never really got to know me. I noticed him go nowhere in life over the course of a year, in passing. I could tell he wondered what my problem was and I did the same about him. I would flight instruct most days and fly divers on others. I also had my Air Guard stuff, so technically, I had 4 jobs.

That was a lot of fun.
