it's spotty, give it a shot, let me know if it screws up your experience on a mobile device.

NOT available through Tapatalk or Forumrunner.

Only testing with iPhone and iPad so I have no idea how it works on other Smartphones and Tablets. Either the feature will work or it will not as I have no interest in creating cross-browser compatibility tweaks. Actually, it's not interest, it's really more skill! :)
 
What mobile device are you using? It's all goofy on my iPad, but the iPhone is largely useless.
 
Totally goofy. According to another user, there's a version of cometchat that works on mobile devices.
 
On droid TABs/ droid the chat feature works just like the desktop version, so long as you set your UAstring to desktop. This forces the browser to report as a normal browser, not a mobile version, and it works great. If i leave the UAstring to android, it doesn't show up, but it only loads the mobile page for me.

firefox has issues with it, as does opera mini.. but I have no idea how to modify those.

If you forced the software to treat android as a full browser, it would work on the web access versions, but that would hinder normal browsing on smaller displays, like, phones.

Now, when will i be able to dictate my posts/chat to siri? I can't wait untill I can talk to my phone, to chat with somebody, so I don't have to talk on my phone!
 
So is there no mobile version or app for the new forum? I know, its prolya already been discussedthere but Some D bag stole my laptop and the only way to get my JC fix isis from my droid and the new format is not working so well with the phone.

try tapatalk for normal browsing. Or forum runner. Much better than a mobile web version.

Use the web version if you want full features like chat... But are willing to put up with zooming/scrolling etc.

Also try different browsers on the droid, Firefox seems to work ok
 
Yeah, the whole time I type in chat the main JC page is constantly refreshing. Pretty near useless. I can't say you didn't warn me though!
