MLM's and Pilot Wives

The ink was still wet on the closing for our new house and we got asked to host one of these parties.
I was like biiiitch if it's not single malt or craft beer tell them to get a real job.

I just remember what an utter pain in the ass it became when you're sitting there having a beer with a normally rational person that says, "Hey, let me cover this round, have I told you about a new business venture you might be interested in?"

OH GOD, check please.

It seems to be running rampant at the regional and "second tier" carriers, which I can somewhat rationalize but their big effort seems to be getting some "up the foodchain" leads and it's become absolutely infuriating.

Pretty sure A Aron and J Quellin disagree with you. BLaaake is going to go to WAR with you over a comment like that.

Didn't we have a thread on this pretty recently?

MLM programs simply suck.

There ARE some decent MLM-based products out there - but the methods you have to go through to acquire them really, really suck.

A pilot wife is giving the Mrs. a hard sell on "magic oil" and it turns out there's an entire army of stay-at-home mom's selling other women snake oil under the radar screen.

NOT pleased.

Jeebus. MLM is so skeevy...it's just not right to pimp our your friends that way...

If Kristie wants to get into sales, there are FAR mo' betta ways to do that.

I am a pilot's wife and no one is soliciting me for anything. I guess I don't have the secret handshake!
