Job Description
Conducts mission systems operations as an aircrew member. Performs ground and flight duties ensuring mission systems are compliant with required specifications. Determines mission system functionality and performance while conducting ground and flight operations. Develops technical and flight reports and flight manuals. Evaluates flight data and recommends changes to system design based on operational considerations. Provides system information and training for company and customer aircrew. Prior military aircrew member rating required for entry into this job family or equivalent civilian experience and qualifications. Qualifications
Level 3 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Level 4 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
Required attributes for this position:
• Former Naval Flight Officer/Navigator/Weapons Systems Officer
• Minimum of 500 hours in type
Desired attributes for this position:
• NATOPS qualified P-8A TACCO with recent operational experience
• Test Pilot School graduate
• Developmental flight test experience
• Understanding of USN instructions and processes
• Technical Undergraduate Degree
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.
This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
