Missed approach point on a Localizer

I think the MAP is .5 DME away from the localizer.

The plan view says I-TUS ASONE .5 DME.

Yup... it says it on the top of the plan view section.

Given the choice I'd use Jepp, especially because I love the fact that their IFR ODPs and Alternate Minimums are super easy to see right on the airport diagram, vs all the fishing you have to do to find them on the Gov't charts. The reason I use Gov't is because I use foreflight, and until Jeppesen gets with the program and offers subscriptions through flight planning software that isn't theirs, they will continue to lose market share.

OP: Note the the Stanfield VORTAC (TFD) is not on the field. For the LOC/DME approach, you would start your descent to MDA as soon as you cross the VOR, and execute your missed approach at 7.5 DME. As noted on the plate, you will have get distance information from TFD while tracking the localized.

I read both of them just fine, but Jepps always seem too cluttered to me. Nothing that's wrong with them necessarily, but the NOS are just easier to read it seems. If Jepps are all that's available or what's required, I'll happily use them. If given a choice of use, I lean towards the NOS charts.

I think this is similar to a FMC, aircraft design philosophy, or advanced avionics deal. What ever you learned first is your preference.
