Anybody know of anything in the Twin Cities area?

CFI, CFII, MEI, ATP Land and Sea
No types or turbine time
4000+ total time
3000+ dual given
4 year degree

Getting hungry....

Unless Compass serves food on thier flights that will not work.

Thank You

I saw on the orange site that Thunderbird was hiring.. Don't know anything about them but you can check it out.

I don't know anything about them either, I did apply a while back and have not heard anything. Anyone else know anything about them? There is nothing wrong with Compass, they just do not pay enough. Not getting too picky, just have to be able to survive. I can make more at McDonalds with a lot less responsibility and be home every night.

Thunderbird is hiring flight instructors. With all your dual given time it would be easy for you. Although you will probably make less than you would at Compass.

What do they pay?

I believe in the range of $17/hr with all your ratings, but possibly more with experience.

When I last talked to them (quite a few months ago) I got the impression they weren't busy enough for it to be a full time job.

Compass doesn't really have an awful pay rate for a regional, but judging by your times I'm guessing that you're not the airline kinda person.

The Twin Cities was dry and that's why I moved a couple months ago, good luck with whatever you do!

T-bird is $12 per hour part time or $17 per hour full time. You won't get full time unless you ride the couch all day. There are NOT enough students for anyone new to actually be anywhere near full time. They are overly staffed and you won't get paid for mandatory staff meetings but they will tell you that you will. Maintenance is bad but you won't be pressured to fly anything broken. Management is slimy and you need to double check every paycheck as they conveniently make errors in their best interest from time to time.

I've heard similar horror stories about Thunderbird.

I wish you luck. Winter is right around the corner and that's when it starts to get very slow. I'm working a full time desk job to pay the bills, and I'm lucky if I get over 20 hours a month.

Is the desk job aviation related? any openings there?? :)

I have heard similar reports of thunderbird. I CFI in the area and to be honest, there isnt enough work for ANYBODY to be full time. Now with the winter slow down coming, Im looking for other opportunities in order to pay bills as well. GL OP!
