Million Air @ TEB

I just went to TEB for the first time and our FBO of choice is the new Million Air, and all I can say is WOW! The entire 2nd floor is dedicated to pilots. You either take the stairs or elevator up and when you get up there, there is a loft where you can look down below. Further into the loft is a pool table next to some recliners which sit in front of a nice flat screen on the wall. There are also several desks with internet hookup and beyond the desks, a workout room with probably 5 or 6 machines.

They also have a locker room with at least 4 full & private bathrooms with showers for both men and women. There is a neat little snooze room that is divided 4-ways. And last but not least, there is a sweet movie theater. It seats probably 12 or so people and has a projector with big screen. The neat remote control is a touch screen monitor which allows you to choose between many different DVD's or TV.

I've been to quite a few FBO's already, but I don't think any compare to this place. It sure beats the double-wide Signature in Boston! (then again, pretty much any place beats that... having to go through security is BS)

I know I sound like a little kid, but I felt like one when I walked in the doors. :)

i applied at all the fbos at kdal and kads

let me tell you... million air is AMAZING at ADS. SO NICE!!!!11111

i hope i get a job offer there so i can get to know their employees better ;)

Good to hear - last time I was at Million Air TEB they were still in their undersized, temporary facility.

Jet at TEB is real nice - it's similar to what you described.

talk about a horrible website. maybe if this it was a computer company or something.... but an FBO for rich asses? flash? are you serious? the sound? jesus get real

my freind works right next to that place, I need to go to TEB sometime, my dad grew up around there. DO they have a charter Flight Department?

i'd clean the toilets in the ladies room if i got to meet a staff member in there...

... too far?!!?!?

;)

I just found out today that the FBO dropped the Million Air name, and now it's Meridian. Either way, still a good FBO.

I talked to my freind about the FBO there and he gets to use all the facilties with the company he works for at TEB, hes not a pilot though.
He said it was an awsome place, I want to go there sometime now.

Being a connoisseur of FBO's. That place sounds sweet. Pretty much anything beats Signature IMO.

Do they lock everything up when the freight dogs arrive?

just to add...that even their rental cars are killer. Their budget rental is a G35 Sedan. Probably one of the 2 best rentals I have gotten on the road besides the QX56 in Jackson, WY

Not sure about the other companies that go in there, but Airnet, unfortunately uses Jet Aviation. The counter people there are nice (the night crew anyways), but the line guys are the most incompetent jerks around, especially to us freight dawgs. Jet has nice facilities, and tons of stars sighted in there at all hours of the day and night, but has something to be desired in the customer service dept for us.

As an example, last week I was in there, called 20 minutes out, for fuel, telling them it was a quick turn; I also called at 10 minutes out, and received responses on both. I get in there, and they park me facing the hangar with no way out. They weren't very busy and knew my tail number from previous calls.

After 25 minutes of waiting for fuel, I called and cancelled my fuel order (I was empty back to base and had enough fuel to make it, but fuel is dirt cheap there for us), and asked to be turned around. Another 1/2 hour went by before I was turned around and finally out of there.

I HATE JET AVIATION...other Airnet guys that are based up there want to chime in on TEB?:)

Should have tossed it in Reverse and backed out.... LOL

I've had that same experience with Signature NO FLIGHT SUPPORT, numerous times. If you are freight dog and a shiney jet shows up forget about any services until they get done with the jet. It doesn't matter if you were there 15 minutes earlier.

If I had been in a 'Van, I might have had a chance...never tried going in reverse, but you never know. Unfortunately, I was in a Baron at the time, so no chance whatsoever. I've had similar problems with Signature, but not as frequent as Jet. At least Signature gives us AvPoints...Atlantic SDF no longer gives their certificates for the American Express promotion they have going on (freight dawgs only...everybody else gets them). Go figure. We are the scum of the earth, right?:) I'm keeping track for when I get into corporate aviation, though ;) .

TX youcan back the baron up!

Ihaven't tried it personally but an old man said they used to back b-17's this way.

Lock left brake, full power left engine. The right wing will slowly creep back.

Lock right brake, full power right engine, left engine idle. The left wing will slowly creep back.

Now...how well it works is questionable. Course itd probably be easier to just go steal the tug and start doin #### your self.

Million Air is a fantastic FBO... it doesn't matter what airport you go to. It doesn't matter if you're flying a 182 or a Citation 10, they give everybody the same service. I have had a few run-in's with signature employee's and overall, they are just trying to make money off of everything with wings. But I would land at a Million Air any day of the week.

If you are in the long beach (klgb) area and want a great FBO, instead of parking at Sig, or Airflight... head down the ramp to Mercury Air. They're a bit farther away, but the service is supurb and the building is amazing. (Not to mention they have the nicest front counter staff on the airport, and their pilot's lounge is insane)

So yeah... just my $0.02
