As a hopeful future Commercial pilot I love to be a fly on the wall while other much more experienced people talk about flying the big planes. However with just a lowly PPL the jargon sometimes (Fine alot of the time) Is simply beyond me. Could we perhaps get a sub-forum for acronym definitions and the like where people could ask away without needlessly entering a non-related reply in an established thread? Thanks alot! Love the site!

I had the same thought when I first came here and discarded it after a couple months.

What I did instead was go looking for the definitions. Sometimes it took a little longer, but I learned all kinds of new stuff along the way. And context helps, too. For example - you hear someone refer to DH, DA, FAF, etc while talking about flying an instrument approach. So start looking up glossaries and stuff from IFR books and you'll figure it out.

And if you get stumped, just ask. :D
