Midair in Alaska!

Oh snap. I know people at LCA.
Similar thing happened in the pattern at PRC when the crew here and I were in college in March of '92. Two 172s midair'd, with one's main landing gear wheel coming through the windscreen of the other and slapping the CFI in the forehead. Planes then separated and both landed, one forced short of the runway, the other on the runway.

Wow! Glad everything turned out.
There was almost a mid-air in Lynn Canal a few years back between an LAB plane and a Wings Caravan.

We were still dominating our region when I was a member of the flight team.

Word on the street is LCA has a spare vertical and rudder and the 'Jo will be up flying again in a few days.

No, but they did manage to blame President Obama, the minority party in Congress, creeping socialism, and tied that into the need to keep tax rates down.
