Microsoft Flight Sim

That was on the Apple II+ (1982 vintage). Years before the Mac! My brother has the computer, which is still operational. Two floppies, must of been nice. We had a floppy and a tape recorder.

Thanks! Man, I remember those programs!

Best part is that the Apple II+ wasnt my first computer. It was an Olympia People Machine running DR.Dos (Dos before MSDOS). It was years before they had a MSDOS 2.1 emulator. Now the scary was that the Military (ok Marines) were still using the units and software at 2000 when they called me to see if it was 2000 compliant. Oh the fun of government contracting!

He's in the same boat I am at the moment, asking about sims. At least he's about to start flying - I'm not yet. :(

I can't speak effectively about flying an aircraft but I CAN talk about sims.

It's pathetic, sad, makes me a wannabe simmer scumbag. I come here because it keeps me inspired.

that said, it's about time for me to STFU lately.

:) Don't feel bad, a lot of us were in the same situation. That's how some people got interested enough to try the real thing in the first place!
