Metroplex

Anyone at an operator with significant flying in the "Sunshine" state is probably aware, but on November 8, ATC will transition Florida into the "Metroplex" as part of evolving technology and NextGen. This most obvious change, to me, is that J routes are being retired in favor of all Q routes on high altitudes. Might seem simple, but when you consider requirements for Q routes, then issues will arise if the plane cannot operate on a Q. ATC intends to assign routes to Aircraft unable to Q, (basically special issue them on the J route). Still dispatchers will have to be mindful of equipment coding and what routes the airplane can operate on.

I won't blabber on, but if you have any thoughts about the implementation of Metroplex, feel free to chime in.
