Glass vs. Steam. I imagine I would enjoy the glass too, but that will be another day.
I had to fly a SE ILS on my .297 in a Baron using a flight director.

It kept telling me to climb and turn right...I just had to fly "through" it.

In our plane, the FD is .... it's okay ... just don't put it in FLC mode and expect anything amazing. It'll have you flying the speed profile just fine but I can do it smoother just putting it in pitch mode and taking speed+/- a few.

Other than the boss-man not knowing how to trim an airplane, the FD does just fine.

When he flies, it always has him in a left bank and for some reason that puts us with the ball half right..............when I fly and trim it, there's no problems. I wish I were making this up.

SUS, sadly. My sole consolation is that my old company still has a mitsi parked out there on a Quest run. I can drive by if I can manage not to hit anything through the tears. And yes, waco, I am 100% emasculated. Have to go, think I got some mascara on my tie.
:rotfl:

I was thinking its the guy that tells me where to park...

But your right, if you can't make it IFR go VFR!!!!
