We've got a couple memo's now, quickly summarized, Pinnacle is letting Mesaba use their crew rooms in ATL and JFK. Firstly thank you. Secondly, you like us, you really like us!

Very nice.

But the real question is... do you now need a Doctor's note for every sick call? :bandit:

I think Mesaba and Pinnacle should be able to use each other's crew rooms in MSP, DTW and MEM as well. I'm an XJ furlough and just finished ground at 9E and would like to see my old buddies in the crewrooms!

Don't EVEN get me started on that whole thing.

That's right. For those not in the know, we had a minor meltdown over the weekend. We've still got the lowest number of sick calls of any airline, but since we're not staffed properly, management has instituted the "doctor's note for ANY sick call" policy in retaliation for people getting sick. Apparently, management thinks it's not possible for that many people to be sick at once, so they must all be slacking off from work. Remember, "sick time is NOT a benefit" per management. I mean, it's not like the weather going from 90 degrees to 50 degrees in a matter of 36 hours isn't going to wreck people's sinuses, right? And if it does, a little sinus infection won't hurt when you're climbing and descending 5 times a day, right?

I can't wait to get out of this po-dunk airline run by two-bit flea bag "management" types that wouldn't know how to run a decent airline if Herb Kelleher took them by the hand and showed them how to do it.

Looks like I got you started. :D

As far as staffing, I will add to what kellwolf said...

We are hiring and running new hire classes (some delay because the CEC is so packed right now) and I am still getting Junior Assignment calls weekly... :banghead:

We are hiring and running new hire classes and offering Premium Pay for picking up flying in OCTOBER! :banghead:

We had a minor meltdown that has resulted in the Doctor's note "policy", yet we had crews that had been bought off of thier trips because they are on track to time out by the end of the year... :banghead:

Think I'll stop there... If I :banghead: any more tonight, I will need to call in sick and waste my time getting a freaking Doctor's note. :banghead:

Supposedly, Pinnacle staff's to cover 98% of their flying. Staff for vacations too? Absolutely not. Staff for sick calls? You're kidding I hope.

To me, that begs the question, are they counting on weather cancellations and MX cancellations?
