Mesa hurting

So with a market cap of $1.18M it wouldn't be much for DAL to buy up all available stock just to make the whole lawsuit go away...

We own 14 CRJ-9s outright. maybe ASA will buy us to fly them :P

Really, I wouldn't be surprised whatever happens. I wouldn't be surprised if in a month I'm out of a job and the company tanks (I'm kind of disappointed our TA passed anyway) and I also wouldn't be surprised if in a month we start a hiring blitz.

Just watch out.

Things like this happen quickly I'm afraid. Doors are chained up, paychecks bounce, flights are cancelled, etc.

Don't get stuck at an overnight only to have to jumpseat out on another company to get home. :(

That's what my coworkers told me (Most are ex ACA/Independence). But no one knows what will happen. I have my opinions but I will keep them for now.

Honestly, I'm surprised JO hasn't done something to put a lien on those -900s. I also wouldn't be surprised at whatever the outcome is. Be nice if JO stepped down and someone with integrity filled his shoes so Mesa could become a respectable business again. That way we could see the fall of JO without seeing pilots on the streets.

I think Mesa's gearing up for the "stock instead of cash" pay back option. We don't have the money to pay you. Instead, take this. It might be worth something some day. Wish I could pay my mortgage in baseball cards, too.

Obviously a public company will never give any hints that it's not going to survive untill the day before they tank, but It's just amazing that considering pretty much every airline has had to sacrifice something during this recession, Mesa is the only airline that keeps going as if business is usual. I know some pilots are furloughed but from what I understand most were not active pilots anyways. I have no business background but it would seem to me that if your stock is worth less than nothing, are in bad debt, and on top of all your operation isn't making any money, I would stop everything and figure out a way to make money. Seems like JO and Mesa's stragey is to hope everything will be OK because their lawyers and the system will bail them out. Just surprising that Mesa still hasn't given up anything during these hard times like so many other airlines have. Pretty reckless in my opinion as far as Mesa management.
