Why, for lack of a better term, Mesa pilots are generally not as accepted as pilots for other airlines?
According to whom?
It just seems like everyone always dogs on Mesa pilots. I heard some airlines even deny them jumpseats.

Everyone dogs on everyone, even Southernjets pilots.
Probably the only people getting denied jumpseats are from people who really don't understand that the whole "Freedom Air" thing is over, at least as far as I know.

I will say some of them need to take a bit more pride in their uniform, but that is not just a Mesa issue... that really is an industry-wide problem.
I really dislike what they are doing to Aloha and Hawaiian out on the islands right now. That was just the icing on the cake for me in regards to my animosity for Mesa.
I dont really know exactly whats going on here but if its pure competition than I see no problem with it. Airlines need to be able to differentiate themselves to their customers (the majors).
Oriensten and his management team are out there deliberately trying to destroy Aloha and Hawaiian Airlines.
