Mesa Airlines Hiring June 2025 Thread

I am an instructor/trainer at a regional...and I'm in 141 flight training. I don't know my airline's social media policy as I just started...but I'm erring on the side of caution in not naming it.

I really enjoyed being out in the operation as a flight attendant, and I got along with my flight crews well.

So I'm hoping the change of environment is happier....I mean...it has been, thus far. If ZW hadn't stopped flying for AA, I'd still be an FA there.

Oh you going to pursue FA now full time?

What didn’t you like about dispatch?

No.

I'm actually not even in Dispatch anymore.

You know how someone just finally figures out the job isn't for them when everyone else kind of knows it but he doesn't?

That's me. Dispatch was not for me. I'm the guy everyone says, "that guys not easy to work with...don't hire him...he's a pain in the ....."

It was nice to make friends in aviation at all of the places I have worked.

But I'm unhappy in an SOC....and as I said above about Mesa...most of the time, the feeling is kind of mutual.
I feel that in my soul. I loved the actual dispatching, but almost everything else was not fun. It's nice to still do stuff in aviation but being able to set my schedule, having weekends/holidays off, and deciding day of if I want to take vacation hours later in the day has been so nice. Looking back the only thing I really miss was flight bennies/jumpseat access.

Right? Like if they just put me in a little cubicle at the airport to plan flights, flight follow and communicate with flight crews all day...that would be exactly my speed. But the SOC environment and I: no mix.

My current job is weekends guaranteed off, hard out time, and the best health and dental insurance I've had in my life...and my New York health insurance at my company was pretty nice, so that's saying something.
