If you already have your ticket, this might be the best way to back door your way in to Republic, honestly. Like Spook says, they've only been hiring for the cert class, with heavy preference to local candidates.

Cool.

I haven't had a stick poke me in the eye in a while. Maybe I'll apply.

Lol.. just had one person leave for delta, another one left for Hawaiian, another left for PSA, another left for UA mainline, so it’s just basically moving around pieces internally and fulfilling positions.
Hawaiian: that was two years ago.
PSA: not an upgrade
UA mainline: that was over two years ago
Delta: no idea who that was, but I suppose anything is possible.
Southwest: One guy went there two years ago
------------------------

When people leave Mesa, the vast majority leave aviation.

A handful go to other regionals, and a smaller handful go to ULCC's.

The work environment was awful, and it's mainly management. Their VP of SOC was a former skywest guy, and he was a piece of work...and as a result, the entire department was basically Lord of the Flies and included one old guy who basically said some of the most racist, absurd things you're ever going to hear anywhere. He used to refer to our non-male pilots as "Lady pilots" and called the women in the office "girl."

I was so happy to leave that place and write the $5000 check to pay back that stupid hiring bonus...and I'm sure they were happy to see me go as well. I don't have a high tolerance for almost any of the nonsense they had there, and I wasn't quiet about it.

I literally work here now. You’re out of date. You don’t even know what’s going on lmao please stop talking on the operation like you have some inside person. A lot has changed since you “walked out” or got “fired” after throwing your badge in management’s face and stormed out on 9/11/23. Just how you have negative things to say about us it goes both ways. But I’ll keep those words to myself.
Hawaii was this year she literally just left to start literally this month (tomorrow).
Delta was January.
Southwest was obviously last time they were hiring dispatchers. Why did you say PSA is not upgrade when you literally went to work at PSA and should I say but got fired from there as well?
So please go ahead and think what you think but it’s reciprocated. We actually now have some really smart and genuine people here, who are willing to go above and beyond for each other and every single one of their flights.
Sorry Dan can’t play me like the game.

A) I use my real initials because I don't have any issues with being identified...unlike most of the folks here who like to post with what they believe is a huge amount of anonymity, I don't care. I have no issues with standing by my words and opinions. Mesa is filled with awful people, and I have zero issues in saying that...it's listed over and over and over again all over the internet...long before I ever made the mistake of going to work there. Everyone can't be wrong all of the time...including the FAA.

B) I currently work at an AA regional...if I got fired from PSA, that would not be possible as I would not be hireable.

C) I love that I live rent free in your heads. The legend seems to be slightly bigger than the actual events. I don't like being screamed at...and I don't like bigots...including people like Mike Stafford. I had no problem with taking my badge, dropping it on Courtney Senitza's desk and saying, "You're an idiot and have no clue how to manage people" and resigning after being screamed at for doing my job...after she screamed at us multiple times in the days prior for weather changes and gate returns..and screamed at a coworker to the point she went home in tears just an hour before.
-------------------------------------------

My name is Daniel Juan Tamayo. Dispatch Certificate number 4688900. DeltaJulietTango...it's not rocket science to figure out who I am.

So here's my question, keyboard king...why not identify yourself and tell us who you are since you're so proud to work at YV?

Crazy that you consider working as a flight attendant for Air Wisconsin an AA subsidiary, then again, we’ve always known you were crazy.

No.

I'm actually not even in Dispatch anymore.

You know how someone just finally figures out the job isn't for them when everyone else kind of knows it but he doesn't?

That's me. Dispatch was not for me. I'm the guy everyone says, "that guys not easy to work with...don't hire him...he's a pain in the ....."

It was nice to make friends in aviation at all of the places I have worked.

But I'm unhappy in an SOC....and as I said above about Mesa...most of the time, the feeling is kind of mutual.

Oh I see, what are you doing now then? Out of the industry completely?

I am an instructor/trainer at a regional...and I'm in 141 flight training. I don't know my airline's social media policy as I just started...but I'm erring on the side of caution in not naming it.

I really enjoyed being out in the operation as a flight attendant, and I got along with my flight crews well.

So I'm hoping the change of environment is happier....I mean...it has been, thus far. If ZW hadn't stopped flying for AA, I'd still be an FA there.
