MEII Program

I have a question to all those who attended any of ATPs CFI courses.

I'm coming up here on my CFI checkride pretty soon, so hopefully I have that.

I was looking for a quick and cheap way of obtaining the other two ratings and ATP's 5-Day MEII program seemed the way to go.

My question is, is the examiner's fee included in the $2k price?

Thanks!

From the ATP website . . .
"The examiner's fee is not included in the course cost. This fee is between $300 and $400 depending on the location and is payable in cash only to the examiner."

I just finished the MEI/II program in Jax if you have any questions, I can probably help.

Good luck on the CFI ride.

See checkride central for debrief. Specific questions on the oral I'll answer in a PM if you need the information. Good luck to all!

ATP's CFI program is about 2 weeks in length. If that sounds short for getting all of your flight instructor tickets listen to this. Before getting to your respective location, you are sent a CFI packet and program pre-test. This information needs to be reviewed and the pre-test needs to be completed before you get there. That way you're already familiar with the information that will be talked about in the week or so of ground school. The days normally are long...say from 8-6 or even longer. You'll get the required spin training and also the prep rides for each of the checkrides. So in all, the program is actually like 4 weeks long because of the information you are required to learn before getting there.
