I remember years back at school there would be the 'daily flight', could always here a jet flying nearby in french class. Wasn't that close, but we could always tell what it was.
The coolest part was when I'd walk around after school with my friend, the sucker buzzed us on more than one occasion, only a few hundred feet up it seemed. Or atleast, however close to the ground it has to be to make the ground shake and make you nearly fall down- Looking up to see the glow of the engine flying past..
Not sure what kind it was- remember it being an F-15.
Awesome sight.. needless to say I don't give a crap about noise, I didn't mine DC-9s flying over my house shaking it like an earthquake, and I live 15 minutes from the airport!
The odd part.. There are no air force bases near by...
