We have a different way of communicating. I understand that it did not look pretty and it was most likely confusing to others. I'm sorry I said he was on his ass and that he was an ass. I later called him for the 8th or 9th time that day and apologized.

I do. We have the same types of people in ALPA as well. Every organization is not perfect, but to fault one that supports GA because of one slime ball doesn't mean they are worthless.

Randy Babbitt. Last I checked he had worked on the side of management with Pinnacle for all those years (before the merger) against the pilots. ALPA has its own bad ex-president as well. It unfortunately happens sometimes. People follow money rather than what is right.

I agree with everything that you have posted. I do. So to clarify the above statement; There are two members, on this forum, who represent ALPA, who are 100% opposed to GA. There are previous threads where this was pointed out. I am not saying that all members of ALPA are opposed to GA. Better?

Thanks for the added info on Cohen. Figured it might be something like that, but I'm all about mending bridges, and aligning allies. Things in DC don't seem to work that way, but then again, DC ain't the real world.

I don't believe either of us are opposed to GA. We just want a fair system. Reasonable people can disagree about what a fair system would look like. You shouldn't get all offended.

Much better Also to clarify: I'm not presently an ALPA member (I was deliberate in my diction). I'm pretty sure that my representative organization at work has absolutely no positions on GA or indeed on the NAS other than "let us use it as inexpensively as is practical."

Which should be every pilot's position, period.

I still use Meigs field when I go to Chicago, at least when I use flight simulator.........
