I just don't have any desire to relocate for a CFI job. I like the area I'm in, if it takes a year or so longer to gain hours as a CFI and actually be happy while I'm doing it I think I could live with that.

Most of my friends got there hours in about 3 months.

We're talking about the CFII, not the CFI so when referencing the PTS it will be FAA-S-8081-9D, not FAA-S--8081-6C.

Which hours? The way it's looking I'll probably have to do it up to ATP mins.

To be honest, I wouldn't have known it if I hadn't have done my CFII as the initial

Pretty near ATP. 1000 TT and 500 Multi most had when they were hired. I'd say go live life away from home and start an adventure.

I've moved all over the state trying to stay home and when that was starting to dry up I came out here to Hawaii and while it has been tough being away from home it has been a great choice.
