Took the MEI Checkride yesterday, and brought home the temporary!
The tough part was that the DPE I used had to have their semi-annual 'evaluation/recert' checkride with the FAA. So a guy from the OKC FSDO sat in during the checkride. There's nothing like having a DPE on one side, and an FAA Inspector on the other.
Oral was a little 'ish' as I HATE checkrides, and could not spit out what I wanted to say. But once I got through it, and made it to the plane, the flight was awesome. Best flight I ever had on a 'ride. Glad to get that one out of the way.
**Was not a CFI initial, I was already CFI(I). Guess I get to change my signature now...!
