I just had a question that I'm unsure of and I know a lot of you have a ton of expert advice and experience. I' am looking to get my MEI Add-on. I have my CFI(I) but not instrument current. I have a Commercial Multi with instrument privileges. If I got an IPC done before training for my MEI, do you still need to do an instrument approach on the MEI Add on check ride.
According to me, it is no I do not have to do an approach, but I' am unsure if I'm reading it correctly. My conclusion came from looking through The Additional Rating Task Tabel for Multiengine Airplane (FAA-S-8081-6DM Effective December 1, 2012 With Changes 1, 2, &3 Flight Instructor Airplane Multi-Engine Land and Sea Practical Test Standards.
