My Flight Surgeon
Sr. Aviation Medical Examiner
There is not such a question. The FAA cares whether or not there was an infraction, not the legal outcome of the infraction.
Ok, thanks for clearing it up. I really did not think it would have qualified by the way the question was worded.
Now I ask how would it effect the ability to get the rating or take the check-ride? What would happen if I check yes on it, I am sure they ask for a reason, so what do they do when you check yes. If it helps the 8710 is for a type rating check-ride at an airline (SIC).
I disclosed the ticket on the application and they ask me about it during the interview but did not seem to care since it was over five years in the past. They hired me and I start training soon. They sent me a pre training packet that included a partially filled out 8710 with no already checked in that box so I will need to change that. The fact that they sent me the 8710 is what got me thinking about it.
Thanks
If you could find that information it would be very helpful, since I now have conflicting answers. The reason I post here is 1.) I am sure others have been in my situation and 2.) Someone else needing this information down the line may benefit from it. I am considering either calling the FSDO and asking them about this or talking to the recruiter at the airline, not wanting to do either one, it would be great if you could produce the information you speak of above.
