Awesome airplanes either way, though!

I own 1/2 interest in a Maule MX7-180A (taildragger). It is a great plane and you get a lot of bang for your buck. The fuselage is fabric so you will want to cover it or have it in a hangar. It is a go anywhere machine and has great handling characteristics. If its just me in the plane and about 1/2 fuel, I can get off the ground and land in 500' or less. If you are looking at a 4 cylinder, definitely go with the 180 vs the 160. Feel free to pm me with any questions. Check out maules.com for some good info. The guy who runs it is a former Alaska bush pilot and knows everything there is to know about Maule. Good Luck.

Trust me, once you fly a taildragger you'll love it.
