I'm pretty pleased so far. A few courses are what I call "stealth." For example, "The Air Transportation System" ASCI 602 is really a history course with an aviation emphasis.
It's tough to pre-qualify your instructors since you get whoever is teaching, and there's not nearly as much stutent to student interaction, which is different than a classroom.
On the other hand, I did my psychology midterm in Acapulco by the ocean with a margarita in hand (got a B) and when on the road the profs seem to be pretty flexible. I'm over halfway through now, and can see the light at the end of the tunnel, though dimly.

Hey there, I have been looking into the program also, but haven´t decided if it is worth it yet. Maybe you can share some ideas. What benefits do you think there are career-wise? Chief Flt. instructor position for example? What types of positions are you hoping to move into? Thanks in advance.

I'm one of those people that just like to learn for learning's own sake. I'll get really bored with my life if I don't have a project. Aviation itself can be that way since there's always a new rating or qualification to get.
Riddle is a good place to use GI Bill benefits. The Veteran's office there is on top of things and are helpful.
I'm working in aviation now, and am lucky enough to have the freedom in my day to explore the newer stuff that's out there. My management has noticed my class work and it's been the "good" type of attention a person wants. I've been sent to conferences to represent us as a direct result of my course work and even got sent to the NTSB Academy for a course (best training I've been to in a while.)
I'm hoping that I'll get sent to USC's accident investigator course next. I wouldn't doubt if management waits until I'm complete with the degree as the course is a huge outlay of cash for them.
Long answer to a short question. I guess I'm looking to expand my current job to keep things interesting.

I can understand doing it just for the sake of learning, and a nice bonus if it contributes to your job. Especially in aviation it seems like anything you can do to keep learning is of great value, at least on a personal level and hopefully on a professional level. With a wife and kids though I need to justify the time and money. I 'm going to keep bouncing the idea around. Thanks and keeps us informed as you finish up the program.
