March 5th Basics Terminal

Does anyone else start Basics on March 5th? It is coming quick and I haven't seen any threads with this date.
 
If you are going to 3/5 Terminal Basics - have you receive your FedEx package or FOL yet? Where will you go after OKC?
 
I got my FOL but not the OKC pack yet. According to my HR lady it should get here next week. After OKC I'll be headed back to LBB.
 
I received my FOL but still waiting on my packet.

What are you guys doing about housing? Have you made arrangements yet?
 
Found out today Ill be there. Great 7 day notice! Im thinking of doing Isola Bella during the first week then just look around and find a decent apartment and rent some furniture, Or buy a nice blowup matress haha. Will cut WAYY down on cost. Im a furloughed regional pilot switching to the dark side! Anyone else?

Great I'm at the Isola Bella too... I may be looking elswhere as well.

Ya I figure use Isola Bella as a temporary place till I find something better and cheaper. Kind of hard to do much shopping around in another state. Reviews are extremely mixed on all the housing in OKC. Going to drive through the night on Tuesday to setup "house" on wednesday. See ya there.
 
Before setting up house in Isola Bella, you might want to consider going the non-faa housing and check out Warren House. It is furnished, a TON cheaper and they do month to month. They accept credit cards and you can just choose to put it on your card rather than the govt. card if you need the cash until you get per diem. Just a thought!
 
Checking out Warren House now on the net, not many pictures though of the inside. Im a picky person when it comes to like clean places. How is it on the inside? How is the furniture? Rent seems REALLY cheap too, thanks for the info.

It's clean. If you get a remodeled unit ($15more a month for studio) you have new furniture, however there is no carpet, all vinyl floors. The older units have carpet everywhere but the kitchen & bathroom. There are photos on forrent.com of the inside of the studios with the new furniture. We're in an older unit and the furniture's fine. Ugly, but fine.
