My lead the other day tried to draw an AA-10 Alamo (eastern bloc air-to-air missile) and it ended up looking like a penis with a bowtie
Thats because the Navy isn't known for any kind of tactical expertise........

So that's why when I call the NSAWC Hornet Hotline all I get is the "this number has been disconnected" messageSeriously though, the AF threat manual makes for far more interesting reading (in a cool creepy way) than any Top Gun product, and I say that even being biased as you know
All antics aside, each has their own good things. For example, in the flight safety realm, Approach magazine is far and above higher quality and information than any similar publication that the AF has ever put out.
Out of curiousity, does the AF have their own equivalent to the USN aviation safety school?
Yes. At Kirtland AFB, NM. Used to be at Norton AFB, CA. Went through it in 2002.
Ahhh that's right, I had forgotten that you had an official background to inspire your mishap reviews. Which begs the question, when can we expect the next installment?
