Man accidentally ejects self...

-As one observer said: "What a trip. That guy took off in an Astra, came down in a parachute, and landed back at base in a helicopter. Not bad for a for a single flip."-

LOL

Reminds me of the show pensacola when some new guy on the ground in the show pulled the canopy release handle. It was a show so I don't know if that is even possible to just eject the canopy but it was funny at the time...10 years ago. :)

Must have been an interesting experience for this pilot. Too bad their canopies don't eject on that plane, he would have had himself one pimp convertible.

"...the passenger tried to steady himself while the pilot was putting the Pilatus PC-7 Mk II through its paces by grabbing the eject lever."

How does a PC-7 pilot put the aircraft through its paces by grabbing the eject lever?

Rewritten: "As the pilot of the PC-7 was putting the aircraft through it's paces, the passenger tried to steady himself by grabbing the ejection handle."

We can destroy the English language if we want to! Don't try to stop us!!

Happened in a Tomcat several years back too......was a boat driver type getting a VIP ride in the back, pilot rolled inverted, guy reached for something to hold onto and pulled the seat handles between his legs:
